The National Disability Authority is delighted to announce the launch of the 2021-2022 Someone Like Me primary schools’ art competition which aims to raise disability awareness amongst children from Junior Infants up to 6th class.
Minister of State for Disability, Anne Rabbitte T.D. encourages all primary school pupils in Ireland to take part in what will be a national creative celebration of the things that unite children of all abilities. Pupils are asked to create a piece of art showcasing what they’ve learned on this important topic and they could be in with a chance of winning a prize up to the value of €750 for their school as well as a Creative Care Package filled with fantastic art supplies from ReCreate for early entries!
Information packs including junior and senior lesson plans and activity sheets have been posted to all primary schools in Ireland.
